Kennesaw, Georgia "America's Safest City" Requires Gun Ownership!
There has not been a single reported crime of domestic violence in Kennesaw since the law was passed. There have been no injuries to children involving guns since the law was passed.

Imagine the headlines: "Earth population grows after congress passes law requiring it in 1982." or "Sky blue after Blue Sky Act of 1982"

Both of these would be true, but they there is no cause and effect. I would like to see the crime stats from before the law was enacted. Crime might have been on the decline before and there may have never been domestic violence.

I suspect once this is know it would enhance the argument for gun ownership. But until we do, it does not tell us anything.

Also, are you advocating government force?

From the article:
TNA May 5, 1986:

But, in the following year, the pendulum began to swing back the other way. For it was in 1982 that the city council of Kennesaw, Georgia voted unanimously to require the head of every household to own a gun and ammunition. That year the incidence of burglary went down 73 percent in Kennesaw, and went up in Morton Grove.

Also, I am not saying that the method of increasing gun ownership was the right method, only pointing out the results of increased and conspicuous gun ownership.

Just want to point out that the population of Kennesaw is just over 20k - smaller towns have different dynamics than their bigger counterparts. What I'd really like to know is how many households still have a gun and ammunition. Or is this become a scare tactic with no real consequence?

I found it hilarious that the next homicide that was committed after this law was passed was with a knife.
