I've heard the word "methodologies" in other contexts as well. I don't agree that it's used properly here. A method is a way of doing things. This is what I think he's really talking about. Methodology is the study of methods of doing things, which is what he is doing himself. Methodologies would then be the studies of methods of doing things. This doesn't really even make sense to me as a word. Can one refer to "the study of X" in plural?
